Collaboration project

GI, contributes with important projects in the process of integral revitalization of the domestic trade sector, which conceives the support of international cooperation for development, based on actions and resources that respond to prioritized programs that the MINCIN attends linked to the Objectives of Sustainable Development of the UN and with the National Plan for Economic and Social Development until 2030. These projects have the purpose of promoting economic and social progress and place great importance on development, both human and justice and equity, taking into account account for important needs of the population. Currently in this process are: Commercial Refrigeration and Metrology.

Commercial refrigeration

Revitalization of refrigeration in the internal trade system network in the province of Las Tunas

This project recognizes the need to offer the population safety and quality in the delivery conditions of perishable and / or frozen products, in which temperature is a critical factor; since food production and distribution systems must be rigorously controlled, insured and maintained over time.

It aims to guarantee the correct conservation of the different types of food that require the cold chain, providing the safety of these as well as the reduction of diseases that may arise due to their inadequate conservation, largely preserving their nutritional value. and protecting the health of its consumers, avoiding outbreaks of sanitary poisoning.

• Storage in cold rooms or warehouses in the production center.

• Transport in special vehicles.

• Distribution platform and sales centers in which we focus.

• Guarantee the safety and quality of the food offered to the population that correspond to the different subsystems of food sustainability.

• Acquire the necessary refrigeration equipment for establishments that offer products that need freezing or conservation.

• Train the personnel linked to the commercial sector in the knowledge of the rules and principles of food handling that promote food safety, as well as the personnel that guarantee the maintenance and conservation of the equipment.

Metrology

Revitalization of metrology in the retail network in Havana

The project aims to benefit all consumers of the retail network of the Internal Trade System of Havana province, who receive products from the subsystems of food sustainability planned in the country, as well as people with chronic childhood diseases (cystic fibrosis, phenylketonuria, neoplasia, among others), pregnant women and diabetics.

In the modality of economic collaboration, due to the current situation that the industry presents to satisfy the demand for this type of scales, the project responds to the need to offer the population a more complete service and with the required quality, in regarding the distribution of bulk food.

Profits

Allocation of food distribution to final consumers in adequate quantities, with a direct impact on the general nutrition of the population.

Implementation of the International System of Units (SI).

Recovery of the selected retail network, providing a higher quality service in accordance with Consumer Protection, which in turn will include after-sales services.

Standardization of 70% of the demand for network scales.

The success of this project lies in the possibility of developing other types of magnitude-mass measurement instruments in the country in the future, which represents the general improvement of metrology in Cuba and another source for commercialization in our business system. In addition, there is the dissemination throughout the country of this type of scales that will be installed in the trade network.

Objectives of the project

Guarantee Consumer Protection in the acquisition of products that require weighing, with the required quantity and quality.

Recover the selected retail network, homogenizing the types of magnitude-mass measuring instruments in the country.

Implement the International System of Units (SI) in the retail trade network, based on the use of digital scales.
